Can I use an Edublog?

Are edublogs useful as an educational tool? How can they be used to collaborate between students to other students and students to teachers? In what way can you use blogs to improve your teaching strategies, relations with students, parents, or administrators?

Blogs -- a Definition

An edublog (educational blog) is written by someone with a stake in the educational process. Edublogs may be written by or for teachers. An edublog may invite administrators, teachers, students, and parents to comment and author posts. They can be written for educational instruction or written about educational policy. Communities of educators can gather their ideas to collaborate information on an edublog. One of the most well-known edublogs can be found at http://www.21classes.com/ Edublog.org has some links to informational tips for teachers who use or would like to use blogging in their classroom.
